A popular tourist and heritage site near Sedona will be closed for about a month while construction takes place to improve visitor convenience and safety. The V Bar V Heritage Site will be closed beginning January 31st through February 29th so crews can install some rock steps on the left side panel of the petroglyph site. The rock steps are the first part of a larger project referred to as the V Bar V Viewing Platform, which will help visitors and volunteers safely view the petroglyphs and provide accessibility for all visitors to enjoy the site. Trail work will also be completed on the trail leading from the parking lot towards the visitors center. The projects are being conducted by people from the American Conservations Experience based out of Flagstaff.
