Two Shot In An Exchange Of Gunfire At A Camp Verde Convenience Store Tuesday Night

Two people were shot at a convenience store in Camp Verde Tuesday night. Camp Verde Marshals were called to the Maverik store in the 500 block of Finnie Flat Road at around 8:20 p.m. after a shots fired call. Officers reviewed surveillance video showing 23-year-old Christian Price of Sedona, pulling up to the gas pumps and getting out to fill up. It was then he was approached by two people on foot. One of them was a 14-year-old boy. The video showed a confrontation between Price and the boy. The teenager then pulls out a gun and starts firing at Price. Price also pulled out a gun and returned fire. Both Price and the boy where shot. A vehicle pulled up and both suspects got into the vehicle and drove off. Price also got into his truck and drove off. A short time later, officers located Price a few blocks away at a Circle K. The boy was found on the Yavapai-Apache Nation. Both Price and the boy where treated and flown to a Phoenix area hospital. So far there are no arrests or charges in the case and there’s no word on the extent of their injuries. The case remains under investigation.
