There were two incidents involving weapons that had Flagstaff Police busy Monday. The first took place at around 4:30 p.m. when police were called to an area near Fourth Street on a weapons misconduct call, which then was thought to have developed into a possible barricade situation. Officials say the situation was quickly resolved without incident. Then later in the afternoon, there was a shoplifting attempt at the Target store on Milton Road. The incident carried into the parking lot, where a suspect had a firearm, or police say a simulated one, that he pulled and made threats. The suspect left the scene, but the vehicle was found nearby on Yale Street. Suspects were taken into custody for questioning. The shoplifting case is under investigation.
