Two Recent Deaths In Flagstaff Attributed To The Weather

There have two weather-related deaths recently in Flagstaff. Police say the first death was last Thursday on the five-thousand block of North Highway 89. Officers were called to the scene at around 12:35 p.m. where a man was found unresponsive located in an alleyway between two brick walls sitting on a couch with snow covering portions of his body. Police say 49-year-old George Toledo was pronounced dead on the scene. Then on Sunday at around 1:30 p.m., officers responded to the 19-hundred block of North Third Street regarding an unresponsive man located in the front of a residential yard, behind a wall of sandbags. Police say 68-year-old Paul Zilth Junior was pronounced dead on the scene. When Zilth was found, he was covered with a significant amount of snow by residents of the home. Both men were found in inconspicuous locations. Police remind the public to contact them if you see someone who may be in need of services or assistance.
