Two People Arrested In Connection With Burglaries In Clarkdale And In Cottonwood

Two people were arrested Friday in connection with the theft of a Cottonwood music store earlier this month and recent burglaries in the Verde Valley. Clarkdale Police say 41-year-old Benjamin Romero and 40-year-old Laina Galloway were both arrested stemming from recent burglaries in Clarkdale. Officers found power tools, chemistry equipment, firearms and drug paraphernalia from those crimes. Investigators also found guitars and music accessories from the theft of the Verde Valley Discount Music Store in Cottonwood. Numerous items were stolen from the store back on July 5th. Romero was charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, misconduct involving weapons and theft. Galloway was charged with theft.
