Two kids from Paulden are in Phoenix Children’s Hospital after the bounce house they were in was taken by a dust devil Sunday. Yavapai County Sheriff’s officials say the two girls, ages six and seven, were playing in the inflatable house at a home near the 22-thousand block of North Post Road. A dust devil then picked up the bounce house, which was secured with stakes and sandbags at the time, and carried it about 25 feet in the air. The dust devil launched the inflatable house over a fence and onto a neighboring property. It continued to tumble before coming to rest 75 yards away. The six-year-old suffered a broken leg and the seven-year-old suffered neck and back injuries, as well as cuts to her face.
