Two More Deaths, Added Positive Cases Of COVID-19 In Coconino County Wednesday

There are two more COVID-19 related deaths Wednesday in Coconino County as we begin to see more tests coming into the county. Health officials say the number of deaths is now up to 48. There are 23 new cases which increases the number to 575. Negative tests in the county are up 158 to 2,395. The number of positive tests in the Greater Flagstaff Area has risen to at least 85, with 53 of the cases in an area from East Flagstaff to Wupatki National Monument. The number of positive cases in non-tribal areas of Page is 75 with 402 cases in tribal communities of the county. There are 228 tests pending results, which is 133 more tests recorded today. There is another testing blitz this Saturday in Flagstaff. There will be only one location this week as testing will take place from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the County Health and Human Services building on King Street. You don’t need a doctor’s note to get tested at the blitz. Daily testing continues at Fort Tuthill from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. It is there you will need a doctor’s note to get tested.
