The bodies of two missing Chino Valley people were found inside the missing vehicle, buried in Iowa last week. Forty-five-year-old David Batten and his step-daughter 28-year-old Elissa Landry, both went missing back on April 19th under suspicious circumstances. Twenty-four-year-old Mitchell Mincks was arrested in Waterloo, Iowa days after the two went missing. Last Tuesday, Chino Valley Police received information regarding the location of the two missing people and the vehicle in Iowa. Investigators flew out to Iowa to join the search. On Friday, the search confirmed the vehicle was buried on a property in Evansdale, Iowa along with Batten and Landry’s bodies that were inside the vehicle. Charges against Mincks, and anyone who may have helped him, are pending coordination with Yavapai County and federal prosecutors.
