Two Men Died In Winslow After A Vehicle They Were Working On Underneath, Fell On Top Of Them

Two men were killed in Winslow when a vehicle they were working on underneath, collapsed onto them. Police say the incident happened Thursday morning at around 10 a.m. Authorities were called to the 23-hundred block of Mountain Drive. When they arrived they found a Chevy Suburban with two men trapped underneath. Investigators say the men were working on the rear end of the vehicle, lifted by a hydraulic floor jack. No secondary jacks were present, nor other safety precautions were found. The jack appeared to have shifted on the dirt ground, causing the vehicle to collapse, crushing both men. Life-saving methods were attempted, but both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
