Two men have been arrested after they were connected to several fentanyl overdose cases in the Prescott area recently. Yavapai County Sheriff’s officials say in a one-week period in mid-June, the Prescott Police Department handled five overdose incidents, two of which were fatalities. Detectives directly linked two of the non-fatal overdoses to 26-year-old Dylan Corgan, who lives in the 700 block of South Granite Street. A search warrant was served at the residence on June 26th. During the execution of the warrant, two men were contained in the home and one fled. The suspect who ran was 32-year-old Michael Thornburg. He was taken into custody a short time later. A search of the home led to the discovery of several fentanyl pills, which were consistent with those involved in the overdoses. Also found was meth, marijuana and around 188 prescription only pills as well as numerous items of drug paraphernalia. Corgan was booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center on various drug charges and weapons misconduct. He has since been sentenced on those charges to three-and-a-half years in jail. Thornburg was booked on drug charges and resisting arrest and he remains in custody on $30-thousand dollars bond.
