Two Members Of The Navajo Nation Test Positive For Coronavirus

A second member of the Navajo Nation has tested positive for COVID-19. Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez issued a statement Tuesday night after he was notified of the second positive by tribal health officials. The second person is a middle-aged man who came from the same area as the first person, who tested positive and was announced earlier Tuesday. Both are from near Kayenta and both have been traveling. The second person was also taken off the reservation for treatment. This is the second person in Navajo County to test positive for COVID-19. A mobile incident command post will be dispatched to the region. The Navajo Agricultural Products Industry has contributed one-million dollars to help the Navajo Nation address the spread of coronavirus. President Nez is calling on tribal members to stay home and remain calm to prevent the spread of the virus.
