Two Injured In A Head-On Collision In Prescott Friday

Two people were injured after a head-on collision on Iron Springs Road in Prescott Friday. Fire crews were called to the scene near the Doce Pit recreation area at around 4 p.m. When crews arrived they found a middle-aged man trapped in a midsize SUV with heavy front end damage. The second vehicle involved was a full size pickup truck, also with heavy front end damage. The accident blocked travel in both directions on Iron Springs Road. The trapped male was taken out of the SUV and flown to a Phoenix hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries and refused treatment. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
