Two people were injured after a multi-vehicle accident on southbound Highway 89 in Paulden Monday morning. The crash happened near East Big Chino Road and milepost 338 at around 5:49 a.m. Central Arizona Fire and Medical say crews had to use extrication tools to stabilize one of the vehicles to get a female patient out. DPS says the accident involved a passenger van and a Nissan pickup. The driver of the truck was taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott and was treated and released. Traffic was stopped for about 30 minutes while crews tended to the scene. There were no other injuries reported.
