Two Chino Valley Men Are Recovering After Shooting Each Other Sunday Morning

Two people are recovering after shooting each other Sunday morning in Chino Valley. Police were called to a home in the 15-hundred block of Yorkshire Avenue, in the Highlands Ranch subdivision, on reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 79-year-old man and a 66-year-old man, both Chino Valley residents, suffering from gunshot wounds. Investigators say the 79-year-old was visiting the other man and at some point, both men pulled out firearms and shot at each other inside the home. The 79-year-old was struck in the abdomen and the 66-year-old was shot in the head or face area. Both were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. No arrests have been made at this time as the investigation is still ongoing.
