A Tusayan woman was killed Wednesday when the vehicle she was driving collided with a tree along Highway 64 in the Grand Canyon National Park. National park officials say the single-vehicle accident happened at around 8:40 p.m. near the South Entrance Station. The woman has been identified as 26-year-old Haley McCormick. First responders attempted life-saving measures on McCormick and were unsuccessful. An investigation into the accident is being conducted by DPS in coordination with the National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office.
