Gas prices in Arizona are up slightly this week. Triple-A Arizona says the average price of gas was up a cent on average to $3.13 a gallon this week. Triple-A spokesman Aldo Vazquez says crude oil prices are directly linked to the rise in gas prices. He says “we do believe (oil) prices have the potential to increase, especially this week which will only lead to more expensive prices at the pump, especially with robust demand as we are in the middle of the peak Summer driving season.” In Flagstaff, gas was up just over a cent from last week to $3.41 on average. Some stations are selling gas for $3.29 a gallon and lower. In Prescott, gas prices were unchanged, staying at $3.12 a gallon. Some stations are selling gas for $2.99 and lower.
