The positive number of cases of COVID-19 on the Navajo Nation is approaching 12-hundred. Tribal health officials say there are 70 new cases reported Saturday, bringing the total to 1,197 cases. There were no new deaths reported Saturday, so the number of confirmed deaths remains 44. Officials say the average age of those who have died is 66-years-old. The total number of cases in Navajo County is 321. There are 206 in Coconino County and 187 in Apache County. There are 469 cases of the coronavirus in New Mexico and 14 in Utah. The Navajo Nation remains on a weekend curfew until 5 a.m. Monday. Anyone who violates the curfew will be issued citations, which may include up to $1,000 in fines and/or 30 days in jail.
