Three Teens Were Arrested Friday Morning After Trying To Steal A Vehicle In Prescott Valley

Three teens were arrested early Friday morning after they were seen attempting to steal a vehicle in Prescott Valley. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Sunset and Treasure Drive in Castle Canyon Mesa. When they arrived they found a vehicle with an open door, a broken window, damage to the ignition consistent with attempting to steal a vehicle, and burglary tools. The victim also said his wallet was missing. Deputies searched the area and found the teens at around 3:40 a.m. They took off on foot and were eventually arrested a short time later. The three were ages 13 and 14-years-old and stolen property from the vehicle was found on them. They have been charged with attempted theft of means of burglary, theft, trespassing, criminal damage, taking ID of another, false identifying and resisting arrest. YCSO believes there may be more car and property theft victims in and around the Castle Canyon Mesa and Granville neighborhoods. If anyone has information, call (928) 771-3260.
