Three Juveniles Could Be Charged With The Start Of The Railroad Fire In West Flagstaff

Three juveniles could be charged with starting the Railroad Fire that burned last week near Lowell Observatory in west Flagstaff. Flagstaff Police say the juveniles appear to have started the fire unintentionally last Tuesday afternoon, but were reckless in doing so. Their case has been sent to juvenile court for charges by way of juvenile referral. The three could be charged as a juvenile, defer for adult charges or not be charged at all. There’s no information the three regarding names or ages, because they are under 18 years old. The Railroad Fire burned just over three acres and caused a few neighborhoods to be temporarily put in “SET” status. The fire was fully contained a couple of hours after it began.
