Fire managers on the Kaibab National Forest are set to begin a three-day prescribed burn Monday near Williams. The Sunflower Prescribed Fire will be conducted around eight miles southeast of Williams between County Road 73 and Whitehorse Lake. A helicopter will be used for aerial ignitions on the 25-hundred acre area. Smoke will be seen from Williams, Parks, Sherwood Forest, Garland Prairie and Interstate-40. Burns are also scheduled for the Tusayan area of the Kaibab National Forest.
