An investigation by Partner’s Against Narcotics Trafficking task force lead to three arrests in connection with the sale of fentanyl pills. In the middle of May, detectives began an investigation into the illegal activity from a motorhome parked in the 24-hundred block of South Cedar Lane in Cottonwood. Over the next few weeks, the investigation continued and specific individuals were identified who were involved in drug sales. On Monday at around 8:30 p.m. a warrant was served and three people were detained inside the motorhome. Authorities found a zip-lock baggie containing 259 fentanyl pills and meth. Arrested were 24-year-old Alec Ramsey, 23-year-old Areanna Newhall and 33-year-old Jimmie Treakle, all from Cottonwood. Newhall told authorities she and Ramsey conducted drug sales over the last couple of months. She said pills were bought in Phoenix with her unemployment money. All three were booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center on drug charges. All remain in custody on bond.
