Wyrick Fire Has Burned Over 75-Hundred Acres And Is 24-Percent Contained

The Wyrick Fire is not 24-percent contained. Evacuees from the fire returned to their homes Thursday morning in “Set” status. The fire has burned over 75-hundred acres. Areas in “Set” are Antelope Valley, Despain Ranch and Heber and Overgaard north of Highways 260 and 277. Also, Chevelon Ranches and Retreat and communities in Overgaard south of Highway 277 and North of Highway 260 are also in “Set.” In “Ready” are areas of Overgaard south of Highway 260, High Country Pines in Heber, Kendall Ranch/Camp Ponderosa. Highway 260 from Payson to Heber is closed in both directions.
