The Woman Who Was Killed In A Wrong Way Accident Has Been Identified

The woman who was killed last Saturday in an accident near Twin Arrows has been identified. Interstate-40 was closed in both directions after a wrong-way driver drove into an RV. DPS officials say 26-year-old Krista Laine Begay of Chinle was killed when she drove her orange Kia westbound on I-40, causing the accident on the eastbound side. The driver of the RV, a 76-year-old man from Pearblossom, California, was taken to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment. Both vehicles caught fire moments after the accident. Begay was pronounced dead at the scene.
