The Northern Arizona Type-3 incident management team took over the Wolf Fire near Clints Well Monday and started using the fire to remove fuels in a prescribed burn. Winds in the area are out of advisory and warning territory, so crews decided to start the burn Tuesday. The Wolf Fire burned around six acres on its own, after a lighting strike over a week ago. Speed limits on Lake Mary Road have been reduced to 35 miles-per-hour in the area during the burn. Fire crews plan on burning around two-thousand acres Tuesday and Wednesday on the fire, with 11-thousand acres burned by the time the project ends.
