The Trial Of Timothy Duran, Who Is Accused Of Stabbing His Wife To Death In 2019, Has Gone To The Jury

The murder case of Timothy Duran has now gone to the jury. After the state rested last Thursday, the defense just needed one day to wrap-up the case and deliver closing arguments. Back in March of 2019, now 40-year-old Timothy Duran and his wife, 35-year-old Crystal Morgan, were in their home in the Gemini Drive area, when Duran allegedly started stabbing her multiple times with a screwdriver. He left the area before authorities arrived and was later taken into custody by Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies on Interstate-17 near the McGuireville Exit near Rimrock. Emergency personnel treated Morgan at the scene, but she was pronounced dead. Duran is facing charges of first-degree murder, first-degree burglary, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, child abuse and two counts of threatening or intimidating. Duran has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Duran could face life in prison if he’s found guilty.
