A Prescott Valley man has been identified in connection with a domestic violence incident, which included gunshots being fired at police officers. Police received multiple calls at around 12:32 a.m. regarding domestic violence that was occurring in the Cypress Circle area. When arriving at the scene, deputies found 32-year-old Joshua Schnoebelen of Prescott Valley, intoxicated, and his wife in their home with a 19-year-old, two 16-year-olds, and a three-year-old. Schnoebelen allegedly told his wife to leave through the front door, while the teens and child were able to leave through a window. Schnoebelen was armed and had fired rounds inside the home and then opened fire at officers outside. An officer returned fire and was able to get him to surrender. Schnoebelen is currently in a Phoenix hospital in critical but stable condition. One officer suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The incident is being investigated by the Department of Public Safety. No further information is available at this time.
