The Navajo Nation is extending the 57-hour weekend curfew to July 27th, beginning Friday. Navajo Nation President Jonathon Nez made the announcement this week. The decision was made coming off of Governor Ducey’s announcement Monday. As of Tuesday there were 63 new cases and no new deaths on the Navajo Nation from COVID-19. There are over 76-hundred total cases and over 54-hundred recoveries with 369 deaths. Nearly 57-thousand people have been tested on the Navajo Nation for COVID-19. The curfew begins at 8 p.m. Friday and runs until 5 a.m. Monday.
