The Navajo Nation is preparing for another 57-hour weekend curfew due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The curfew was announced Wednesday. There has been an additional death and 102 new cases of the virus reported on the reservation. The total number of deaths related to COVID-19 is now 159 with 4,944 total cases. However, 1,620 people have recovered from the COVID-19 virus since tracking started in late March. The curfew will start at 8 p.m. Friday and last until 5 a.m. Monday. It will be the eighth straight weekend curfew on the Navajo Nation and the third consecutive weekend businesses will be forced to close as well.
