There have been 928 people who have recovered from COVID-19 on the Navajo Nation. Health officials updated the numbers Monday night. There are two more deaths and 69 new cases of the coronavirus on the reservation. The death toll from the virus is 142. Health officials say the number of positive cases is now 4,071. Nearly 26-thousand people have been tested on the reservation with nearly 20-thousand negative. President Jonathan Nez said Monday the Navajo Nation is testing citizens at a greater rate per capita than any state in the country. That is a big reason why positive cases continue to rise. The Navajo Nation continues to conduct large-scale testing of its residents to help identify and isolate those who are positive.
