The Navajo Nation continues to rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic. On Sunday, health officials reported 15 new cases and two new deaths due to the coronavirus. The Navajo Nation has seen just over 93-hundred cases with nearly 69-hundred recoveries and 472 deaths. President Jonathan Nez says the numbers are a “good indication that the majority of Navajo Nation residents are complying with the public health emergency orders and listening to the advice of our health care experts.” He adds, “we have to continue to do what we are doing to keep flattening the curve.” The tribe is coming off its first 32-hour curfew that ran from Saturday night until Monday morning. The 32-hour weekend curfews will continue through the end of the month.
