The Monsoon Looks To Settle Into Northern Arizona By Tuesday

The Monsoon is here and looking to settle in for a few days starting Tuesday. The National Weather Service says dry air has moved in, but it will be short lived. Forecasters think the Monsoon will make its return Tuesday staying put through the weekend. The White Mountains area could see a deep return of Monsoon moisture Tuesday with minimal effects to the west, but it may enough to bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms to Flagstaff, Prescott and other areas of the north-central part of Arizona. This would be an early start to the Monsoon season. Typically the Monsoon gets going around the Fourth of July on average. It comes at a good time, since forests around Northern Arizona are very dry after a well below normal snowfall this winter.
