The Maroon Fire East Of Flagstaff Is Close To Complete

The Maroon Fire is beginning to wind down east of Flagstaff. Fire officials say the fire has burned more than 86-hundred acres and burnout operations have been completed near Leupp Road and area forest service roads. Containment will rise over the next few weeks as firefighters identify and extinguish sources of heat along containment lines. Less and less smoke will be seen from the fire in the coming days.
