The Grand Canyon National Park will be shutting off the Transcanyon Pipeline on Monday to repair a leak at Phantom Ranch. Bright Angel and Cottonwood Campgrounds, as well as the Manzanita Rest Area, will have no drinking water available. Visitors to those areas are advised to carry drinking water, or have means to treat water in the creeks. In addition, the Silver Bridge will be closed to allow room for repair crews, and visitors are encouraged to cross the Colorado River using the Black Bridge or the South Kaibab Trail. Repair work will run 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is expected to last until Thursday.
