The Fourth Street Bridge Is Closing Friday Until August

The Fourth Street Bridge in Flagstaff will be closed from July 17th through August 3rd for the ongoing bridge replacement project. ADOT says even though the bridge will be off-limits to vehicles, pedestrians, bicyclists and emergency vehicles will still have access to the crossing. The bridge detour will take you down Huntington Drive to Ponderosa Parkway then to Butler Avenue around to Fourth Street, or find another alternate route around the closure. During this time, both directions of Interstate-40 will be narrowed to one lane at Fourth Street, with shifting of traffic continuing. ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around the construction zone.
