The Flagstaff Unified School District will announce their plans for a return to the classroom at their board meeting today. Officials say the plans will be based on the guidance from the Arizona Department of Education’s Roadmap to Reopening School, CDC guidance, information from local public health service officials and input of staff and governing board members. FUSD is preparing both in-person and distance learning models to offer students and parents. Officials say they are taking into consideration factors related to health and safety, teaching and learning, social, emotional and the unique needs of students. The registration and verification process for the 2020-2021 school year will be shared at the meeting set to begin at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be streamed on the FUSD Facebook, Twitter and Vimeo pages.
