The Flagstaff City Council To Discuss Bonds To Put On November’s Ballot, The Lone Tree Overpass And More Tuesday

The Flagstaff City Council has a busy agenda Tuesday afternoon. Council is expected to approve a temporary budget for the city. Council will also go over bond recommendations for the November 2022 ballot. The Citizen Bond Committee is recommending four bond categories be added to the ballot. They recommend bonds for housing, stormwater and wastewater infrastructure, public safety infrastructure and climate action. Involved in the housing bond would be money to redevelop city owned housing for rental, repurposing existing buildings into rentals, incentivize rental housing and money for homebuyer assistance. Council will also discuss further the Lone Tree Overpass and the Lone Tree and Butler intersections. Tuesday’s meeting starts at 3 p.m. and you can either attend it in council chambers or watch it online on the city’s website.
