The Cinder Lake Landfill Remains Open, But With Operational Changes

Residential traffic has steadily increased at the Cinder Lake Landfill in the past week. Due to this increase, the landfill is implementing several operational changes to ensure the safety of staff and support necessary physical distancing. In accordance with state and federal guidance, residents and businesses are asked to avoid all non-essential outings and close contact. The landfill will remain open, however residents with non-perishable waste, that does not require immediate disposal, are asked to not bring it to the landfill at this time. Additionally, starting today, the landfill will only accept credit and debit card payment while COVID-19 precautions are necessary.
