A fire started Friday morning just off Interstate-17 and Bumble Bee. The Bumble Bee Fire is now over 3,000 acres and is 20-percent contained. The fire started Friday west of the Sunset Point Rest Area and a half-mile west of Bumblebee. A “Set” message had been sent to the residents in the areas of Bumblebee and Cleator, but was rescinded at 7 p.m. Friday as the fire no longer threatens residents of those communities. There have been no delays on I-17 thus far, however Bumble Bee Ranch Road is closed. There’s no word on what caused the fire.
