The 2021 Monsoon season has been far from a bust so far this year. The National Weather Service says several locations are running above normal, with some areas already have had more rainfall this year, then the entire 2020 Monsoon season. As of Wednesday, Prescott has received just over an inch-and-three-quarters of rain this year, which is almost an inch more than normal. Last year, Prescott just had one-hundredths of an inch of rain at this time. Flagstaff has seen an inch-and-three-quarters as of Wednesday, which is three-quarters of an inch of rain above normal and nearly an inch-and-a-half more than last year. A chance of showers and thunderstorms is in the forecast through the weekend and well into next week.
