Teenager Arrested After Firing Gunshots Into A Paulden Neighborhood Friday Night

An 18-year-old was arrested after he fired gunshots into a neighborhood in Paulden Friday night, nearly hitting a resident inside her home. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 100 block of Bayberry Road in Paulden at around 10:30 p.m. regarding a report of numerous gunshots being fired. After talking to several neighbors, they identified a possible suspect who was inside a trailer in the 200 block of Bayberry Road. While canvassing the neighborhood, deputies met with a woman whose bedroom window was shot out while she was lying in bed. Authorities surrounded the trailer and made entry inside. They detained two men, one was 18-year-old Owen Pierce. When looking around the trailer, deputies found over 40 bullet casings on the front porch and around 20 more inside the trailer. Pierce admitted to firing a handgun and deputies found video on his cell phone firing the weapon. He was arrested, while the the other man was released. Pierce was booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center on two counts of endangerment, a count of disorderly conduct with a weapon and other charges. He remains in custody on five-thousand dollars bond.
