A woman was recently arrested in Cottonwood in connection with shoplifting after she fled the store, changed clothes and ended up being arrested afterall. Cottonwood Police were called to Walmart Sunday at around 2 p.m. on a shoplifting call. The suspect, 34-year-old Katherine Davenport, left the store, but was located a short time later near State Route 260. Investigators say Davenport was arrested at the store before, back in 2014 and earlier this year and was also charged with trespassing. On Sunday, she was seen changing prices on items and not scanning all of the items in her cart at the self-checkout register. When she was approached, Davenport fled the store.
