Suspect Wanted For Leaving An Accident In Paulden

Authorities are looking for a Chino Valley man who fled the scene of a collision, where kids were involved, and is also wanted on a parole violation warrant. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a truck rollover in the 24-thousand-800 block of North Mitchell Lane in Paulden on Tuesday. When deputies arrived a 16-year-old girl alerted them that her friend was injured. They went to a Good Samaritan’s vehicle where another 16-year-old was bleeding and possibly having a seizure. While EMS tended to the girl, deputies found out 23-year-old Grant Prevatt from Chino Valley was the one driving the truck. The two girls, along with another teenage girl, said they got into the truck. Prevatt drove erratically and slid sideways and rolled. Prevatt told the girls he was a felon and needed to run away. Deputies located the truck and an adult passenger, who also said Prevatt was the driver. The passenger was complaining of chest pains and was taken to a hospital. Prevatt is a white male, five-foot-eight inches tall and weighs 150 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and numerous tattoos. Yavapai Silent Witness is offering a $350 reward for information leading to Prevatt’s arrest. If anyone has information on his whereabouts, contact Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232 or leave a tip online at yavapaisw.com.
