A suspect has been arrested in connection with the death of a New Mexico woman found dead near Sunset Crater back in February. Members of the Coconino County Sheriff’s office, along with the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office in New Mexico, arrested 21-year-old Mark Gooch at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale at around 9:20 a.m. Tuesday in connection with the death of 27-year-old Sasha Krause, from Farmington, New Mexico. Detectives learned that during the time Krause went missing, Gooch had traveled from Luke Air Force Base, where he is an Airman First Class, to Farmington. The investigation placed Gooch near Sunset Crater where her body was found by a camper. Krause had been missing from Farmington since January 18th. Gooch has been charged with homicide in the case. The cause of Krause’s death is unknown. The investigation is still ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
