Sunday marks the 25th anniversary of the Phoenix Lights. On a night back on March 13th, 1997, many across the Phoenix area saw strange lights in the sky and couldn’t figure out what it was. Did you know reports of the strange lights started in Northern Arizona? There were many reports from people in the Prescott and Prescott Valley areas, who saw the lights and heard a jet noise coming from mysterious object before the story became the “Phoenix Lights.” There were sightings that stretched from Kingman to Tucson. The Air Force later said the lights were flares dropped by an A-10 over the Barry Goldwater Bombing Range in southwest Arizona. However, many don’t believe the Air Force’s reasoning and the mystery into the lights and sightings continue.
