Strong Winds Again Caused Problems Overnight In Areas Of Flagstaff

Strong gusty winds caused multiple power outages, trees down and even some fires overnight in areas of Flagstaff. APS reports about 900 people were without power early this morning in the Buffalo Park area, Upper Greenlaw and in Sunnyside. There have been reports, that in at least one occasion, a tree went into a house and there was a fire at another home in the area. The National Weather Service says there were strong northeasterly gusts on the downslope of higher terrain, especially around the San Francisco Peaks, south of the Bradshaw Mountains in Yavapai County and north and east of Payson. Expect winds to be gusty at times through today as the low that came through Monday continues to head east.
