A DPS State Trooper saved the life of a person who was reportedly jumping in front of vehicles on State Route 260 near Heber Thursday. DPS officials say when troopers, and Navajo County Sheriff’s deputies, arrived on the scene, the person climbed a nearby tree and was attempting suicide. The trooper cut the person down from the tree and began CPR. The person’s breathing was restored and he was transported to a Phoenix-area hospital. Sheriff’s detectives are investigation the incident. DPS says the trooper’s actions saved the person’s life and perhaps the lives of others.
