The number of positive tests regarding COVID-19 continues to go up in Arizona, as well as the positive rate of those tested. State health officials say over a thousand people tested positive for COVID-19 as of Monday across Arizona, with the positive rate at seven-percent. There were eight more deaths in Arizona Monday, to just under 12-hundred deaths total. There’s some good news in Coconino County. There were over 560 negative tests with just three new cases reported Monday. There have been 820 recoveries with 1,323 positive cases. The positive test to overall test rate is down to ten-percent. The county has seen less positive cases in five of the last six weeks. In Yavapai County, there have been 14 new cases since Friday. There are 382 cases, with seven deaths and 204 recoveries from the virus. All 122 people associated with the Mingus Mountain Academy outbreak in Prescott Valley have recovered, according to Yavapai County health officials. Yavapai County has a 97.4-percent negative test rate. Yavapai Regional Medical Center has two COVID-19 patients as of Monday, with Verde Valley Medical Center and the VA hospital each with one. Flagstaff Medical Center has 12 COVID-19 patients with 15 patients waiting on test results.
