State Senate President Karen Fann of Prescott says she is retiring from the state legislature in January of 2023, when her term ends. She released a statement Monday saying, “It has been a privilege to advocate on behalf of Arizona citizens in my 12 years at the State Legislature and the honor of a lifetime to serve as Senate President.” Fann adds, “I look forward to a successful session in 2022 advancing policies that benefit all Arizonans, and then enjoying the life my husband and I have built for ourselves in retirement with our family.” Fann has spent 28 years in public service in local government and at the state legislature, including two terms as Senate President. She recently sold her business after 37 years of ownership. Fann called for the Maricopa County election audit of the 2020 election.
