Smoke from the Rock Butte Fires is drifting into areas of Northern Arizona. The Rock Butte Fires are at least four lightning-caused fires that started Friday north of Paulden. Of the at least four fires, the Rafael Fire is the most active. That fire has burned around 1,000-acres and is around two miles north of Perkinsville. Smoke from the fires made it into Sedona, Munds Park, Kachina Village and parts of Flagstaff. We have had reports of ash falling in Munds Park and Kachina Village from the fires. Residents of Paulden have been put on “Set” and should be preparing to evacuate if and when they get the “Go” order. Numerous fires are burning in areas around Northern Arizona, all lightning-caused from recent storms.
