Small Fire Breaks Out Wednesday In The Doney Park Area

A fire started in the Doney Park area Wednesday afternoon. The Government Fire was located north of Forest Road 865. Coconino National Forest officials say the fire burned a quarter of an acre and forward progress was stopped at 2:45 p.m. and was contained at 6 p.m. Area residents may see some smoke today, but fire crews will be on scene for any flare ups. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
